What the dealy, yo?
More snow, just what we needed. The giant blizzard we just had with 35 inches of snow just wasn't enough, I guess.
Thank God it's Monday. Yeah, Monday is Friday to me. Tuesdays are the best. I can wake up in the morning, play some videogames, drink some coffee, and then go get drunk and listen to rock and/or roll.
"Little House on the Prairie" Soundtrack?
Do you remember gathering around with the family watching Little House on the Prairie when you were a child? No? Me, neither. I remember it coming on and my dad turning the channel faster than you can say, “That looks like a dumb show, Pa.” Well, apparently there are books about living life in that there Little House on the Prairie too and now a Vanderbilt University professor, Dale Cockrell, and his son thinks it would be a great idea to record the songs mentioned in the books! Now, I consider myself a well-rounded guy, but come on.
Professor Cockrell plans to release a 10-CD set, which contains all 126 songs mentioned in the books, on his own record label which is, surprisingly, called Pa’s Fiddle Recordings. I think he should have contacted Sean Combs for this one, but, whatever floats his boat.
So, if you hear some crazy fiddles blaring from a Honda with a big muffler in a suburb near you, there’s a good chance it will be from this CD set … or, maybe not. I have a good feeling this is the last time you will be hearing about this debacle. Let me not be so harsh. I’m sure this CD set will be wonderful and go platinum faster than a speeding mullet.
